Нет, соблазнилась опять. Надо сказать, что в этом году оно всё смотрелось лучше, п.ч. я их в теплице повтыкала не в грунт, а в большие вёдра и решётку геотекс. Может быть даже что-то выросло бы, если бы не самизнаетечто. После наступления тепла, к середине августа, в нескольких местах образовались завязи с такой романтичной пушистой небритостью. Увы, только к середине августа. А потом (как обычно в середине августа) начались холодные ночи, и вся моя бахча мигом пожелтела. Пара «мутантских крыжовин», тем не менее, умудрилась дойти до кондиции, напоминающей спелость. Они даже пахли дыней и по вкусу напоминали дыню. Мы их потискали, понюхали и даже немного покусали. </p><p>Ерунда, конечно. Ставлю на бахчевых очередной крест — может в хорошее лето с правильным жарким июлем оно и возможно было бы что-то вырастить таким способом, так ведь не угадаешь же, какое лето будет. Никто садовую морошку в продаже не видел? But this time I did it again. I planted the watermelons in the hothouse — this time not in the ground but in big buckets. And this time the plants looked better than In previous attempts. Maybe I would even get some harvest — if only we had normal summer. By mid-August there were several young fruits, so romantically fluffy. Alas, it was already mid-August. After that, (as usual in mid-August) cold nights returned, and my plantation immediately became yellow. Nevertheless, a couple of “mutant gooseberries” ~ripened. They even smelled like watermelons and tasted like watermelons. We fiddled with them, smelled them and even bit them.</p><p>Nonsense, of course. Another proof that there is no use spending time on growing melons — maybe the method would work in a good summer, but who can say if the summer will be good?
