The flowers have a standard protection from self-pollination and are pollinated by bees (unlike many other — long/red-flowered species of sinningias which are designed for birds).</p><p>The standard measure against self-pollination is the following: in a new flower, stamina produce pollen while the pistil's style is closed (top right photo).
