В природе они живут, полностью погружёнными в почву (там не так жарко), лишь полупрозрачные лишённые хлорофилла верхушки листьев — «окошки» — выглядывают на поверхность. Солнечный свет проходит через них, как через матовый фильтр, и попадает на клетки, содержащие хлорофилл.</p><p>Как и титанопсис, фенестрария цветёт осенью-зимой. У меня она меньше полугода, так что хвастаться ею мне ещё рано, просто показываю :). In native habitat they grow almost completely buried in sand to avoid heat. The only part of the plant above the ground are semi-transparent tips of the leaves — “windows”. They allow filtered sunlight into the deeper parts of the leaves containing chlorophyll.</p><p>Similar to Titanopsis, the window plant blooms in winter. I have this plant for less than half a year, thus it's too early to boast with it, just showing :).
