Когда мне его сбагрили родственники, он имел форму большой кривой колбасы, местами густо облепленной детками. В 2006 году я снесла колбасе «голову» и укоренила заново, с тех пор голова растёт правильным «колобком» (как и положено эхинопсисам), а с 2007 года цветёт. Правда, детками по-прежнему грешит в изобилии, значит, где-то я грешу в плане ухода. </p><p>Пока бултыхалась в сети, готовя пост, набрела на <a target=_blank href=http://www.kakt.info/about/htmls/echinopsis.htm>интересную статью об эхинопсисах</a>. Там говорится, что при детковании (взять детку, вырастить, от неё снова детку и т.д.) они быстро вырождаются и теряют способность цвести. Выходит, я очень правильно сделала, что «голову» сохранила. When my relatives kicked it to me, it had a form of a long curved sausage with dense patches of offshoots. In 2006 I cut off the head of the sausage and rerooted it. Since then the head stays in the proper form of a sea-urchin (just as an echinopsis should be). and since 2007 it blooms. Well, to tell the truth, there are lots of offshoots yet, meaning that I haven't reached real enlightenment in term of right care about it.</p><p>Roaming in the net while making up the post, I found an interesting article about echinopsis cacti. It tells that offshoots, when used for propagation several times (take an offshoot and grow it, then take offshoot from it and so on) very soon degenerate and loose ability to bloom. That means, it was a very good decision to re-root the head of the original cactus.
