29.05.2011: Ну так, модно же сейчас про перезагрузки говорить ;). Вобщем, я немного разобрала бардак на горке. Творчески прополола всё, кроме самого нижнего яруса (я же не железная, да?); на лысые места на дорожках насыпала свежих газонных семян и натыкала красивых травяных кочек, выросших в неположенных местах; подравняла разросшуюся траву на бортах; соскребла с камней прошлогоднее сено; как следует полила. При прополке было много радостных встреч и открытий ("О! И ты тоже перезимовал, вот молодец! А ты кто такой, интересно бы знать?"). Самым поразительным фактом стали перезимовавшие львиные зевы (Antirrhinum) в значимых количествах. Мы-то думали, что он однолетник. Теперь будем гадать, что этому способствовало в большей степени: исключительно снежная зима или расположение по бортам горки (есть вероятность, что львиные зевы, подобно розам, в большей степени мрут от зимнего вымокания, чем от мороза). May 29, 2011: Finally I did that: a good spring clean-up of the rockary. Creative weeding of everything except the lowest circle (bcs I`m not a tireless robot); some new grass seeds and grass tussocks from “not for grass” places replanted to the “bold” patches on the lanes; trimming too long grass on the edges; taking old grass from the stones; watering — and here it is, our nice rockary. Weeding brought a lot of pleasant encounters and discoveries (“Oh my! You`ve made through this winter, too, how good! And what about you — who might you be, I wonder...”). The most surprising thing was to find a significant quantity of live snapdragons (Antirrhinum). We thought it`s an annual plant. I wonder, if it was due to extremely snowy winter or to location on rockary edges (there is possibility, that in winter snapdragons, similar to roses, die not from frost, but from excessive humidity).2011-05-fazenda
